Biography
Claire is currently working as a model and actress in New York City and throughout the nation.
Claire Levin was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Throughout her life Claire has been actively passionate about performing. During high school she was in many plays and musicals; her largest role was Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She was also involved in her school choirs and a capella groups.
Claire attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, studying acting. She graduated in May 2007 with a BFA in drama. At Tisch Claire spent two and a half years at the Lee Strasberg Institute, where she studied "the method" as well as vocal and speech technique, singing, ballet, jazz, tap, movement and dialects.
For one semester Claire studied at the Stonestreet Studio for Film and Television where she learned the business and art of film and television.
Claire also spent a year traveling in Europe, living and studying in Prague, Czech Republic and Florence, Italy. During this time she traveled through eight European countries and learned to speak a little Czech and Italian.
For the first semester of her senior year Claire was a part of the Lee Strasberg Practicum, an advanced ensemble designed to teach students how to work with directors and apply the method to professional work. Claire was in several productions at the Lee Strasberg Institute. A favorite was a four character play called Sunday on the Rocks, by Theresa Rebeck. Claire played Jen.
During her last semester at NYU Tisch Claire was a student of the Experimental Theater Wing. Her classes, which included acting, embodied voice, and movement, helped her to learn to understand and express herself in her own unique and passionate way.
During her last semester Claire was a part of an original piece called Theater Machine, which was created by the ensemble through improve. Claire played Kelly Clark a character whose role and dialogue she created.
Claire is currently freelancing with several commercial and legit agents.
Since graduating in May 2007 Claire has been cast in a wide range of professional projects including several independent films, student films, TV pilots and webisodes, music videos and off Broadway plays.
For over a year Claire was a part of the Keagan Theater Company, which produced variety shows containing original material, including work written by Claire, and also produced an emerging playwrites festival, in which Claire had many leading roles, including that of Eileen in a new piece, Under the Shade of The Blue Umbrella.
She is now also working as a lingerie and fit model for such designers as Calvin Klein and Felina Lingerie.
Right now Claire is still living in New York City and continuing to actively and passionately pursue her acting, and modeling careers.
